Special Exhibition: Four Major Ukiyo-e Artists

Today I’d like to let you know about a special exhibition being held at the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of History. “Four Major Ukiyo-e Artists” features paintings from the Edo period by celebrated Ukiyo-e masters such as Hokusai and Hiroshige.

This is an opportunity to see some of the greatest Japanese paintings in history. Chances like this don’t come along every day. The History Museum, located directly behind Himeji Castle, also makes a good spot to visit while the castle itself undergoes renovation.
